The Affiliate Code is a killer video course made by Michael Jones. In case you didn’t know, earlier in 2009, Michael Jones already published The Adwords Manifesto and The Clickbank Code. Adwords Manifesto is about using Adwords, getting high quality score and how to treat Adwords and affiliate marketing like real business. The Clickbank Code is a combination of both free and paid marketing.

The Affiliate Code, on the other hand is focusing 100% on free traffic methods. Even better, it works in any niche for any affiliate network. However, you still need to pay for basic assets like hosting, domain name and autoresponder.

So, want to learn how to market products online using free techniques? These are among steps involved:

1. Research for profitable industry. This step must come first. You don’t want to sell something that people don’t want to buy. You can use free tools like Google Trends or Free Adwords Keyword Tool to uncover profitable markets and keywords.

2. Select quality products. One way to determine great product is by checking its gravity at Clickbank. You can also see total ratings given by customers if you are selling something from Amazon.

3. Setting up your own domain and website. Make sure that you register domains with the keywords inside it. This will give effect to search engine ranking. Then, setup a website or blog. The best would be using WordPress since it is search engine friendly.

4. Autoresponder and follow up messages. Don’t call yourself an online marketer if you don’t have mailing list.

5. Send traffic using free methods. There could be dozens of ways to get free, targeted traffic from Bing or Google. The easiest would be posting articles to Ezine Articles or Squidoo. Another way would be using web 2.0 sites like Blogger or Blogsome.

6. Tracking and improvement. Your campaign result is similar to a black box. You will waste lots of time if you don’t track properly. There are lots of free tools available for tracking purposes. The most common would be Google Analytics. Track your visitors, understand their activities and improve your website for more conversion.
