The cost to our children and our society is getting too high not to take action NOW. The incidence of drug abuse, alcoholism, teenage suicide, and pregnancy is rising and it will most likely hit closer to home than you want to imagine. It is time for parents, grandparents, and other interested adults to start educating our children todayso they can live a happy and healthy tomorrow.

I share my own story because I don’t want parents to “do what I did.” I want you to learn from my mistakes. And yes, I am saying “do what I say, not what I did.” I truly felt I was teaching my children about money, but it wasn’t good enough! It wasn’t consistent enough. As a result, my children have learned the hard way-by getting into debt and having to work hard to not only get out of it, but also to start to repair their credit history.

So these are the two extremes.

First, mine, where I learned good habits and have never “experienced” being deeply in debt. There were many times in our lives where money was very tight for my husband and me and we were totally stressed out about money. Money problems create one of the greatest stresses in a marriage, but working through those stressful times can also create magic in a marriage and family. Mike and I agreed never to carry balances due on our credit cards. We paid, and continue to pay, them off each and every month. It wasn’t easy, but it was our way to know we were in control over our financial life.

And then there were our children, who have gotten deeply into debt and had to “work” their way out. My message to you is there is a better way. Give your children the tools to become independent, the tools to make mistakes-and most importantly, to learn from them. Give them those tools while you are still around to be their mentor and support system.

When I graduated from college, I had $22,000 in the bank because of the habits I learned from my father. Today many young people graduate from college that much in debt, if not more. They start their adult lives already in the hole financially.

This article describes how you can transfer the hard drive for xbox 360 using the Drive Transfer Kit to transfer all content from one hard drive to another

You will need :

An Xbox 360 console

Two Xbox 360 hard drives

Data transfer cable (included with the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit)

This could be bundled when you purchase the Xbox 360 Hard Drive

Data transfer software (included with the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit)

The Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit transfers all content to another hard drive. Read the users guide which you get with the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit.

You can transfer all content from one Xbox 360 hard drive (this is called the “source”) to another Xbox 360 hard drive (this is known as the “destination”). The content from the source hard drive overwrites the data on the destination hard drive.

Needless to say content is only able to be moved to another hard drive provided that the destination hard drive is the same size or bigger than the source hard drive

When the transfer is finished, the content on the destination hard drive will be replaced with the content from the source hard drive. This data includes your saved games and Xbox LIVE downloads. After the transfer is finished, the content on the source hard disk is erased.

Film rentals

Films you’ve rented on the source hard drive will not be available after the transfer. Make sure that you watch all Xbox LIVE Marketplace movie rentals prior to using the Hard Drive Transfer Kit.

Using the Hard Drive Transfer Kit

Warning with any transfer, there is a small risk that some or all of your content could possibly be lost during the transfer.

Only one hard drive can be connected to your Xbox 360 console at a time. The transfer cable cannot be used to connect multiple hard drives to your console at the same time.

To transfer all content from one hard drive to another

Switch off your Xbox 360 console with your current hard drive (the “source” drive) attached.

Disconnect all accessories from the console.

Switch on the console. Connect a controller and turn it on. You need to use a controller during the content transfer.

Connect the transfer cable to the hard drive that you are moving content to (the “destination” hard drive).

Important The transfer cable connects to the destination hard drive in only one orientation. Don’t force the connector on.

Connect the transfer cable to the destination hard drive in the orientation shown below.

Plug the other end of the transfer cable into the USB port on the back of your Xbox 360 console.

Important Do not plug the transfer cable into a USB port on the front of your Xbox 360 console.

Load the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Disc (included with the transfer kit) into your Xbox 360 console. Instructions will appear on the screen

The transfer process can take more than 60 minutes, depending on the amount of content on the source hard drive.

The Xbox Dashboard is not available during the content transfer.

If the transfer is interrupted for any reason, your data will remain on the source hard drive. You are able to restart the transfer process at any time until the process is complete.

To remove your Xbox 360 hard drive

1.Switch off your Xbox 360 console.

2.Locate the hard drive on the top of your console (or on the left side, according to how your console is positioned).

3.Press the release button on the hard drive.

4.Lift the hard drive away from the console.

To attach your hard drive

1.Turn off your Xbox 360 console.

2.Position the back of the hard drive against the back of the hard drive bay.

3.Push the front end of the hard drive down until it clicks in place.

Note If your console did not previously have a hard drive, you will need to remove the hard drive bay cover before attaching a hard drive.
